I'm celebrating Christmas with a living Christmas tree
A tree that purifies the air to keep us breathing free
A tree that in the springtime I'll be planting in the ground
A living Christmas tree to give us gifts the whole year-round

It’s getting close to Christmastime… the season of good cheer

Without a doubt this truly is my fav’rite time of year

Though lately I’m preoccupied with something of great worth

A way to stave off climate change and save our planet Earth

I'm celebrating Christmas with a living Christmas tree
A tree that purifies the air to keep us breathing free
A tree that in the springtime I'll be planting in the ground
A living Christmas tree to give us gifts the whole year-round

Earth needs more trees to sweep the breeze of man-made CO2
If we chop down too many trees we'll soon be turning blue

We must not wait till it’s too late... the bill is overdue

And so to start to pay my part here’s what I plan to do

I'm celebrating Christmas with a living Christmas tree
A tree that purifies the air to keep us breathing free
A tree that in the springtime I'll be planting in the ground
A living Christmas tree to give us gifts the whole year-round

Instrumental

An artificial Christmas tree's a partial substitution
It saves a tree but can't reverse the curse of air pollution
So if you have a mind to stand behind a real solution
Go get a living Christmas tree and join the revolution

I'm celebrating Christmas with a living Christmas tree
A tree that purifies the air to keep us breathing free
A tree that in the springtime I'll be planting in the ground
A living Christmas tree to give us gifts the whole year-round

To help with the solution to CO2 pollution
Go get a living Christmas tree and join the revolution!
