Rev. Dr. Damon Leigh, D.D., N.D. |

The Church of
the Pet Pastor was established by the Rev. Dr. Damon Leigh to minister to
the spiritual needs of those of God's creatures who truly are man's best
friends and, of course, to humbly serve to their faithful human companions, as
well.
Ours is a
home visiting ministry.
Whether you have a new pet for whom you'd like a
ceremonial blessing, a sick pet who
requires a spiritual healing or a deceased pet who
deserves a respectful and reverent memorial
service, The Pet Pastor is here to serve you, your beloved pets, your
precious family (especially the children) and your dear friends. Additionally, Dr. Leigh offers
spiritual grief counseling to assist you
and your family in overcoming the anguish and despair associated with
the loss of a pet.
You're
cordially invited to avail yourself of the services our ministry offers.
Please use the navigation links on each page
to explore your areas of need or interest. Stay as long as you
desire and come back as often as you'd like. All pet lovers are
always welcome here.
(PS - We'd truly appreciate your help in
reaching as many fellow pet lovers as possible. Please send our
URL (www.petpastor.com) to all your family members and friends... no
matter where they may live. The more people who become aware of
our ministry, the better we'll be able to serve the spiritual needs of
pets and their faithful human companions. Thank you and God bless
you all.)

The Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and have mercy.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace.

The Prayer of St. Francis of
Assisi |
(Patron Saint
of The Church of the Pet Pastor) |
|
Lord, make
me an instrument of thy peace. |
Where
there is hatred let me sow love. |
Where
there is injury, pardon. |
Where
there is doubt, faith. |
Where
there is despair, hope. |
Where
there is darkness, light. |
Where
there is sadness, joy. |
Divine
Master, grant that I may not so much seek |
to be
consoled as to console; |
to be
understood, as to understand; |
to be
loved, as to love. |
For it is
in giving that we receive; |
it is in
pardoning that we are pardoned; |
and it is
in dying that we are born to eternal life. |
Amen. |

Although born and
raised in the suburbs of New York City, Dr. Damon Leigh has made
his home in Los Angeles since 1974. A veteran of the U.S.
Navy and a former police officer, he has been a poet, a
songwriter and an author of children's books for many years.
He is a member of both The American Society
of Composers, Authors and Publishers and The Songwriters Guild
of America. In 1997, he was elected to the
International Poetry Hall of Fame.
On a deeper and
more
personal level, Dr. Leigh's varied interests have guided him
toward intense studies in the inter-related realms of spirituality, metaphysics and natural
health & healing. Along the way, he has earned
advanced degrees
as a Doctor of Naturopathy from The Clayton School of Natural
Healing and as a Doctor of Divinity from The American Institute
of Holistic Theology. The
Rev. Dr.
Leigh
has been ordained as a Minister by The Church of Inner Wisdom and
has also been certified a Yoga Siromani (teacher of
the science of yoga) by the International
Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Society.
Dr. Leigh
sincerely believes that our relationships with our pets are
firmly rooted in the immortal dimension of the spirit - in other
words...
it is a soul to soul connection. All souls, in his view, both
require and deserve spiritual ministry. The Church of the
Pet Pastor has been established by the Rev. Dr. Damon Leigh to
serve that
Divine purpose. |
